We are happy to announce that we have successfully arranged a secondary market transaction for the 10% CCE Group Bond 2020/22 (ISIN: DE000A285FP4) in the amount of €8.8m. Clean Capital Energy (CCE) has used the funds from the initial bond issuance to further develop its pipeline of solar photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of 2 GW. The proceeds from the sale of ready-to-build projects, together with other funds available to CCE, will be used to redeem the bonds in June 2022. We identified interested investors, mediated the investment process between the seller and the buyer of the bonds, and facilitated the execution of the transaction.
With this transaction, we prove again our ability to create liquidity in an otherwise rather illiquid market, a challenge that institutional investors in small cap sustainable bonds often face.
“At SDG INVESTMENTS, we do not only arrange and place primary market transaction for our clients, but also frequently assist in secondary transactions through our international network of sustainable finance investors. This increases the attractiveness of sustainable finance investments and thus benefits the market segment.” said Dr. Stefan Bund, SDG INVESTMENTS Partner who led the transaction.
“We would like to thank SDG INVESTMENTS, who were able to demonstrate their placement capabilities in the small cap sustainable bond market, while allowing us to strengthen our institutional investor base.” added Martin Dürnberger, CEO of CCE Group.
