SDG INVESTMENTS co-founder and managing director Lars Hunsche introduces the new "CSR Bond Focus SDG Fund" in an interview with Bond Magazine. The CSR Bond Focus SDG Fund is a sustainable bond fund set up by the CSR Beratungsgesellschaft, who, alongside a private bank, is also in charge of the seed investment. The fund invests in higher-yield bonds selected according to strict sustainability criteria and if the issuers are dedicated to achieving one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals with their business model. The rating agency imug evaluates the contribution to sustainability of each issuer.

"We have been dealing with the financing of sustainable projects since 2015. We cover all asset classes, but primarily structure and place bonds for companies with an issue volume between 10 and 50 million euros. When placing these bonds, we often come across investors who either do not have the analytical capacity or who want a broader spread of risk. This is where the desire for a fund solution was identified. [...]

The fund is aimed at investors with an investment horizon of at least 5 years, and is ideal for investors who want to achieve a sustainable effect with their money, but want or need to generate a return simultaneously."
